NCAA POLICIES
With the shift to online tutoring there are a few new policies we have set in place for student-athlete tutoring. All tutors must follow these polices in order to have your tutor sessions paid for by our office
To request a tutor:
Email your athletic academic advisor and indicate which class(es) you would like a tutor for.
All Tutor Sessions MUST be Recorded
You may use Zoom or WebEx. You must send us the session recording via Messages on our iLearn Site. The message should be sent to ‘Organizer Role’ with the video recording attached. If you are unfamiliar with these video chat programs I recommend testing them out before your first tutor session. Tutor sessions without a recording with not be approved on your time sheet.
Tutors MUST submit a Tutorial Session Feedback form following each session
The time noted on your form must line-up with the length of your session recorded on Zoom or WebEx (rounded to the nearest 15 minutes). The link to the feedback form is on the left side of this page. It is also posted on the iLearn Site under Resources.
A student-athlete may be tutored in a single subject for a max of 6 hours per week.
If you feel a student-athlete is in need of additional tutoring, any extra tutoring will need to be approved by the Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement staff. No additional sessions are to take place until the approval has been granted.
All of the above policies must be followed in order for a session to be paid for by our office. The NCAA has strict rules regarding student-athlete tutoring and failure to abide by these rules could have an impact on a student-athlete’s eligibility.

Marist College's Academic Integrity Policy
From the college's website:
Marist College is a learning community dedicated to helping students develop the intellect, character, and skills required for enlightened, ethical, and productive lives in the global community of the 21st century. Students are expected to pursue excellence in their education while being honest about their work and fair to other members of the learning community. All work presented to instructors for evaluation must reflect their own ideas and effort, and must properly acknowledge any contributions of others. Students should expect this honesty and fairness in others as well. As members of the Marist learning community, all students should adhere to the following principles of academic integrity outlined in more detail here.
With classes moving online there are numerous ways in which you might violate Marist's Academic Integrity Policy and not even be aware of it. Please take the time to understand what is and is not permissible, and clarify with your professor if you are unsure.
Possible consequences for violating the policy include, but are not limited to, automatic failure of the course and/or assignment, and suspension or expulsion from the college.
